Sota un cel format de volta catalana, dues propostes desembarcaren a can Rusk, lluny de l'arrogant i imaginat Eixample de Girona, i del daurat alhora que immaculat Barri Vell. Estem a la periferia, a la cara B de Girona.
Obren el duo osonenc Tropical Ice Land, banda amb suggerent nom i més suggerent proposta. Destaquen per trepidants, afilats i originals. Trepidants pel ritme de la seva proposta, marcadament cabró. Com uns The Joe K Plan més caòtics, menys matemàtics. Afilats, pels constants canvis, passant de passatges postrock a moments de grata violència, com si fossin de Boston, però no, són de Torelló. Canvis que fan mal, alhora que fan somriure. I originals, perquè arrisquen, no fan allò que seria fàcil d'esperar, sinó alló que et sorprén, i això s'agraeix. Composicions unides que expulsen el silenci del món durant llargues estones, brusquedat en els canvis, textures amargues però agraïdes d'escoltar. Alló que ensenyen els fa interessants, i alló que intuïm que se'ns amaga els fa seductors.
Tot seguit, demanen el torn Hurricäde, en el que serà el seu últim concert fins a nou avís. No els veurem fins que anem amb bermudes i xancletes. Per acomiadar-se, realitzen un concert tens. Tensió que neix en unes cançons quadrades, hermètiques i cada vegada més lluminoses. Lluminoses perqué respiren, agafant-se el seu temps per desenvolupar-les, oxigenar-les i sonar més durs. Sólids al darrere, agressius al davant i organitzats al centre, com un equip guanyador, ens diuen "fins més tard" com sempre, honesta i intensament. I amb tota la carn sobre la graella, amb nous, novíssims temes inclosos.
Un diumenge diferent, un diumenge millor. Un exemple de la cara B de la música que tots i totes ens hauriem de preguntar, primer de tot, si realment mereixem.
